Born and raised in the Midwest, Rob developed his writing and vocal style from a broad range of musical influences. A mixed bag of inspiration from Lerner and Loewe and Harold Arlen to Paul Anka, Goffin and King, and The Beatles is reflected in Rob's diverse and unique abilities, so evident throughout his career. Whether it's a disco smash "Sinner Man" for Sarah Dash; his own cult classic RCA recording "Tommy, Judy and Me"; the witty "Do It For Our Country" featured in the movie GREASE 2, or the top twenty Air Supply pop hit and L.U.S.T. #1 reggae hit "Just As I Am", Rob has never written the same song twice. As a staff songwriter for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend, Don Kirshner, Rob wrote songs for several television projects including NBCs The Kids From C.A.P.E.R., and Norman Lear's A Year At The Top. He also composed the theme songs for Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, and the TV pilots Stick Around starring Andy Kaufman, and Say Uncle with Richard Schull. He has written a musical comedy/thriller, The Mirror Of Mister Moore, a television sitcom pilot, The Welcome Home, a stage play, And Then What? and the humorous fiction novel, Tuxedo Bob. 4 CDs of his original songs have been released on Red Lips Records: HEGEL 2 - displays, ROAD SIGNS, MAKE IT MAGICAL (produced by Robby Krieger of The Doors), and TOMMY, JUDY AND ME. Current projects include writing and producing a country music album for Nashville recording artist, Rowdy McCarran, and writing and producing an original "great American songbook" style album for America's Got Talent season six winner, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.
