Rosey La Rouge

Rosey La Rouge is a burlesque performer and costume designer from New York City. She has performed for over 9 years in theaters and nightclubs in New York, California, Las Vegas, and more. Her favorite venue is the Coney Island Side Show stage because of it's amazing history, and great resilience, especially in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. She is a proud supporter of Coney Island USA, and a regular participant in the annual Mermaid Parade. Rosey is a founding member of the (now disbanded) burlesque troupe, Storybook Burlesque, and the producer behind Tattoo Girl Burlesque. She has been commissioned to build costumes for many burlesque performers over the years, and continues to perform and create new work herself. Rosey is focusing on researching burlesque history from a costume point of view, and hopes to help preserve the rich theatrical history of burlesque through her documentation. She encourages everyone to visit and support the Burlesque Hall of Fame Museum and organization in Las Vegas.
