In 1987, while stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rick and Lisa Gale gave birth to Brandon Lee Gale. Brandon graduated from Central High School in Davenport, Iowa in 2005. Shortly before graduating, he got involved in the world of professional wrestling, via the independent wrestling company, SCW (Scott County Wrestling), which ran shows out of Donahue, Iowa. On his 18th birthday, he made his debut under the character name "Boris Schmirrnoff", a Russian foreign exchange wrestler out of Primorski Krai, Russia. In 2010, longtime friend and promoter, Chris Starman, gave Brandon a call and asked him to help out with a charity event. The event was called "Comedy For A Cause", and it was put on to help raise money for the Junior Diabetes Research Fund. The event was set to be a mixture of amateur comedians and professional comedians. Chris Starman wanted Brandon to try his luck at stand-up comedy. On April 27th, 2010, Brandon did his first set as an amateur stand-up comedian. He was hooked. In 2013, he married his long-time girlfriend, Trish Mathias. They have three children together: Rowan (born in 2017), Jack (born in 2015), and from Trish's previous marriage, Dominic (born in 2000). In 2014, he met filmmaker Matthew Scherer who suggested giving the Corpus Christi 7 Day Film Festival a try. In only seven days, Brandon and Matthew wrote, cast, acted, directed, cut, and submitted their film "Onus" for consideration. The film was nominated for 3 awards: Best Supporting Actor - Berto Garcia, Best New Director - Brandon Gale, and Best Ensemble Cast. In 2020, he enrolled in the Digital Cinematography BFA program at Full Sail University.
