Claire Ash Meadow was born in Nairobi, Kenya and raised between Kenya, The Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa. She fell in love with the arts at the young age of 7 and was always involved in school plays and drama clubs throughout primary and high school. In 2005, her family moved to Johannesburg, South Africa and it was there that she completed her high school education and in 2008, she was accepted to AFDA, South Africa's prestigious film school. She studied script/screenwriting as well as Film and TV directing. She graduated in March 2012. As an AFDA trained Film + TV Director, Producer and Writer in Nairobi and Johannesburg, she's worked in numerous production companies in both countries. She directed all the Kenyan content featured on Mo Abudu's Nigerian network EBONY LIFE TV, directed Standard Chartered's "BigMomentsKe" ads, spearheaded all the media content for U.S Intel's "Intel She Will Connect" campaign as well as worked with US Embassy in Kenya, UNICEF, UNFPA and Kuhne Nagel (Help Logistics Ltd) on their documentaries on various subjects. Her career & work has been featured by the HBO syndicated documentary channel VICE as she wrote and directed 2 seasons each on two TV shows STAY and COFFEE WITH MILK. As her production company, Director in Heels Production gained a rapport in the Pan African media industry, she has worked with various corporate clients namely Kiwimbi International (USA), jp.ik (Portugal), The Safal Group (Kenya), Centum Investment (Kenya) just to name a few. Since 2019, Director In Heels Productions is branching out to bring International Reality TV formats from the U.S.A and the U.K to Pan African Media.
