Ro Barrett was born in Northamptonshire, England and started playing the guitar aged just 5 years old. The son of a weekend musician he was encouraged to pursue an obvious talent as a natural musician. He was recruited into his father's band at 14, where he played bass guitar. His gift of perfect pitch and ability to busk effortlessly stood him in good stead through these busy early years. At 19 he had begun as a solo performer playing in Irish Pubs in Germany, but soon struck up an association with named bands playing larger venues. Lead singer of "The Boogie Wonderland Disco Explosion" a 19-piece disco funk band, bassist and songwriter for rock band "Liv-It", songwriter and arranger for the "Ben's Party" Musical, bassist and vocalist for oldies band "Teezer" and a session musician on various other projects. In June 2005, Ro released his first studio album Boredom Killer. Apart from financing the project, he wrote and arranged all his songs, sang all the vocals and played all the instruments featured apart from the drums, then co-produced the whole album. Away from music, in 2006 Ro appeared as Sgt McKee in the EUR10 million film "Dresden (2006)". He also appeared in German comedy series "Alles in Ordnung in 2006 and "Atonement" in 2007. In addition to this, Ro was working on other TV pilots that like so many, sadly never made it to the screen.... Well not yet anyway. In 2013 Ro released his second album, "Alter Ego". All the songs on this 10-track Alternative-Rock album were written and produced by Ro. He also sang all vocals and played all instruments apart from the drums. The album was recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool and mixed by the highly talented Mr Tony Draper before being mastered by sound guru Mr Robin Schmidt of 24-96 Mastering in Germany. Since then Ro has been gigging with various bands along with some work in front of the camera on BBC and ITV. In 2016 he started racing cars and acquired a National Competition licence. In 2018 he released a stripped back unplugged single "Looking for Something" recorded live at Parr Street Studios and began another season's racing with the 750 Motor Club.
