Dania Bartolomeo, also known as "Dania Giò" is a singer/actress born in Geneva, Switzerland, from Italian descent. She started playing the guitar onstage at age 7 and started singing at the same period. Later on she took some theater & dancing lessons. In 2002 she wins a singing contest managed by French radio NRJ in Geneva. Early 2003 she starts recording songs with composer Yorgos Benardos which was working for Universal Publishing France. Dania Giò works and writes some songs's lyrics in French, Italian & English by herself. End of 2004, Phil Collins himself selects her among 1200 singers to join his Foundation named Little Dream. She was then able to sing along with famous artists such as Michael Jones, Matthieu Gonnet, Francis Cabrel and Phil Collins. Later in 2004 she takes part to Phil Collins's concert doing background vocals two nights in a row in Düsseldorf in front of a crazy 70 000 persons crowd. She is chosen to sing the credit's song of the TV Cartoon named Totally Spies in 2008. Two years later, she is again chosen to sing the main song of the TV Series Tara Duncan. 2011 allows her to start her first album with My Major Company. The album is released in September. The same year, My Major Company invite her to join English pop band Ivyrise on a song named Line Up the Stars. The song is played on radios widely in Europe. In December of 2013, she is picked to join the 6th season of the reality TV Show named Les Anges de la Téléréalité aired on NRJ12, live from Australia. A few months later, Showrunner Joachim Levy & long time friend Producer Raphael Bonacchi invited her to an audition for the upcoming TV Series named The Bank, which she passes easily. The TV Series was created by Joachim Levy. Lately, Dania Gio is working on many new songs and projects of her own creation. Late February 2018 she makes an announcement on her social medias, stating she is going to start using her real name (Dania Bartolomeo), instead of her previous stage name (Dania Giò). She also announces a new single and much more to come.
