Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, the only daughter of Paul Thomas White & Carolyn Parnese Meadows White Crotts, Barbara was adopted by John William & Isabelle Gallagher Frank of Chester, PA after her parents' divorce in 1955. Barbara married native Philadelphian author & fellow actor, Anthony L. Selletti in 1976 and they have four children: Anthony John, Tara Marie, Christopher Adam, and Nicholas Dominic. As a living historian, Barbara engages in research and presentations covering several eras. She is passionately involved in preservation and has won recognition for her work at several historic sites in the Philadelphia area. It was through this involvement that Barbara has appeared in several historic documentaries and short films, including the National Geographic Special, Civil War Gold, the 2013 Emmy Award winning feature, Fever: 1793, and the WWII films, Angels in the Mud and How I Won the War.
