Alejandro Ibarra

Alejandro Ibarra is a Mexican American writer, director, actor and celebrity photographer. He involved himself in the performing arts from a very young age, which eventually led to his involvement behind the camera. He attributes the passing of one of his siblings as the beginning of his use of the camera as his medium of expression, as he began photographing everything and everyone in his life. For this reason, his work focuses on emotional truth above all, with all his films falling into a comedy-drama genre and deal with themes of family, grief, equality, emotional survival, and comedy amidst tragedy in life. His films have screened in various festivals internationally, including the California International Shorts Festival, as well as the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. His photography has taken him to three continents and is considered a social media influencer. His subjects include A-listers in the entertainment industry such as Ricky Martin, Chloe Grace Moretz, Ariel Winter, Lisa Vanderpump, and many more. He has mentored at Venice Arts in Venice, CA, and now focuses on teaching at a collegiate level.
