Daniel Seth Eason (aka "Dan Eason" and "CrashDan Eason") is a drummer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and founding member of the rock band Altared, based in New York State. Playing professionally since age 15, Dan started as a drummer / percussionist in Central New York State, and has toured and recorded with many regional and nationally acclaimed bands, including the rock band Altared, which is his current gig. Dan co-founded Altared with singer/songwriter Katrina Marie Eason in 2005. Dan has performed live concerts in the US, Canada and the Bahamas with Altared, who perform their original compositions as a full band and sometimes as an acoustic duo with Dan on guitar and/or piano supporting lead vocalist Katrina Eason. Altared also performs charitable work for the homeless and hungry as part of their Christian music ministry. Dan drummed on two of Altared's CD releases on the "eSun Records" independent record label: the single "Jesus Rocked the World" (2012) and the 12-song CD album "Eclectic Amalgamation" (2013). Dan appears in three of Altared's music videos from 2013: "Bible Thumpa", "Hi God", and "I'll Love You Anyway". In a review of the album "Eclectic Amalgamation", veteran journalist, music / film critic and Lighthouse Award winner Mark Bialczak stated: "...Altared serves up a modern Christian sound. This 12-song CD features the pretty voice of Katrina Marie Eason and versatile musicianship of Daniel Seth Eason...Their music is getting worldwide play..." The original band lineup consisted of Katrina Marie Eason on lead vocals (formerly of The CobbleRockers), UK native Jacinda Stephenson on backing vocals, Michael T. Farrar on lead guitar (of Flatface and the Shempdells), Christoper Wilcken on rhythm guitar ("Messenger", independent artist), bassist Peter Schultz, keyboardist Rich Deacons, and Dan Eason on drums. Dan also composed, and performed all instruments, and vocals, on his 2009 solo CD release "Scriba Rocks" (SRu000902671 / 2009-03-17), released on eSun Records.
