Pierre Louis le Grange, also known as Pierre le Grange, is a South African born actor and singer. He grew up in Pretoria, a large town about 25 miles from Johannesburg. It was from the age of 5 that he started taking piano lessons and also sang in a number of choirs throughout his school years. In 1999 he was the first ever student in his high school (Afrikaans Boys High School Pretoria) to take singing as a formal school subject. After School he moved to London with two of his best friends to take a gap year and to figure out his life. The one year soon became two years and this is when he ended up working for Gordon Ramsay -in the Operations department - assisting in the opening of new restaurants for the famous chef. After two years he decided to move back to South Africa to obtain a University degree. Whilst studying music he dabbled in the acting world and wrote and acted in a comedy cabaret where he portrayed the role of a 70-year old Afrikaans woman. The characters name is Kotie de Villiers. Translated to English his show was titled "Your handbook to a happy healthy Vagina" - and the show and the character quickly attracted national acclaim. He then toured with his production to South Africa's foremost art festivals and also did a number of TV appearances. After completing his Bmus Music degree specializing in vocal performance at the North-West University of Potchefstroom South Africa, Pierre furthered his studies in Florence, Italy for one year. He then moved to New York to pursue his acting dreams and studied at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. He now works in theatre and film in New York City and is also a resident artist at DiCapo Opera Theatre in NYC. He regularly hosts concerts at the World famous Carnegie Hall and also at Lincoln Center.
