Kato De Boeck

Kato De Boeck is a Belgian director and screenwriter who graduated in 2018 from the Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound in Brussels. Her graduation short film 'Provence' was selected by more than 50 international film festivals and has won over twenty awards in Belgium and abroad, including Best International Short at Cinekid and Zlin Film Festival. Thanks to this successful journey the film obtained a spot on the long list of the Academy Awards. In 2020 Kato joined forces with Flo Van Deuren as the creative duo 'Floko Films'. They finished shooting their first short film 'Echo' as part of the Belgian TV series 'Lockdown' which aired in January 2021 on national television. In 2021 they are developing the LGBT+ TV series 'Roomies' with production company De Wereldvrede.
