Julie Gaston

Julie Gaston, born Julia Mack,is a German artist, actress, performer, film director and storyteller. Born in Weilburg (Germany) on 28 May 1993, she lives and works as a freelance artist and filmmaker in Offenbach am Main since 2015. During her studies at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach, she developed a great passion for the medium film and realized her first film "Hänsel" as part of her 2015 preliminary diploma. Her artistic practice focuses on exploring and exposing the hidden structures and influences of social and psychological constructs, which are interwoven with the web of human existence. Her work has been shown in numerous group and solo shows at national and international exhibition venues and film festivals. Since 2013, Julie Gaston has also been volunteering for the protection of children and animals. As an active member of the Child Protection Association, she initiated numerous activities and art projects for children. For this purpose, Gaston is always looking for professional supporters, such as specialists and universities, to give the works a sound background. In addition to the film, she is also active as a performance & installation artist.
