Kevin Priestley

I spent my childhood in the North East of Tasmania, in a small area of forest where I was home-schooled. Early on I learned the value of self-reliance & resilience. My fathers land hosted many gatherings of artists & creative people. I have a small interest in Martial Arts, and a love for health and wellness. I wanted when I was young to travel & I joined the Military at 20. Following this I became a Nurse. I found acting when I was young but didn't pursue it until I was older. In 2013, I came to Melbourne to study acting. I have since been keenly interested in self-expression. I worked with Peter Kalos, weekly for several years developing character. I traveled to Japan on a working holiday and worked in the industry there for a short time. In 2019, I expanded my interest in self-expression with Stephen Costan weekly, working on my Voice. And during 2020, I spent the majority of my time submitting self-tapes to various screen acting classes (Howard Fine - Marilyn McIntyre). Working around lock-downs, I managed to stay involved and made some student films in 2020. In 2021, I have worked in leading roles.
