Liam Petite is known for his work on Five Pounds of Pressure 2020 (2021), which has received 21 International Film Festival accolades from Tokyo, Berlin, Rome, London, New York, and Los Angeles. On April 23rd, 2022, Five Pounds of Pressure won Best Short Film of the Year at the Montreal Independent Film Festival. Other awards include November 5th, 2021, Five Pounds of Pressure received an Award of Excellence in the Film Short category with a Special Mention from Indie Fest Film Awards, which described his film as a 'Creative, compelling story well executed with technical craft and convincing performances.' It also received an Award of Excellence: Dramatic Impact from Indie Fest (2021). Five Pounds of Pressure won Best Thriller at London UK's Falcon International Film Festival (2021). On June 15th, 2021, Liam's Five Pounds of Pressure won the Best Canadian Indie and Best Narrative Short at The Montreal Independent Film Festival. Liam's short film also won the Best Thriller award at the NY TriState International. It was nominated for Best First Time Director at the Chills and Thrills Film Festival 'Halloween edition'. Five Pounds have also been nominated for the Director, Film Award and Film Actor Award on November 1st, 2021. Liam directed Ella Grace to her Best Youth Actor award performance at the (SEPT, 2021) Berlin International Art Film Festival and (OCT, 2021) Kevin Jollimore's Best Actor Award at the Roam Film Festival. Also, Liam saw his long-time associate Frankie Mason win Best Original Music at the Chills and Thrills Film Festival for Five Pounds of Pressure. The cast also received a collective accolade of the Best Performances for a Thriller/Suspense award in the US. Five Pounds of Pressure continues making waves at numerous festivals, including enthusiastic and glowing filmmaker and viewer responses at the Catalina Film Festival on September 16-18, 2021. Liam is working on a feature-length version of Five Pounds of Pressure. His first major project since studying at Halifax's Centre for Arts & Technology, the dark, tense character study Five Pounds of Pressure, was just named the best thriller on May 16, 2021, at London's Falcon International Film Festival. The event regularly presents and juries short projects worldwide to support and promote emerging independent filmmakers. (S.
