Tunji Akinduro (pronounced Toon-gee) also known as "Chief Tunji" is an actor from Riverdale, Maryland. After graduating from Coppin State University with a bachelors of science degree in sports management, Tunji quickly realized a corporate gig wasn't for him. He ignored his parents advice and moved to Los Angeles to become an actor. As an actor Tunji has been featured in music videos such as Maroon 5's "Sugar" (35 billion views), and Madeintokyo's "Lose It" (323k views). Tunji's television debut was when played "Frank" in Adult Swim's hit show "Black Jesus". He later became lead character "Quadir" and writer on YouTube series "Journey of A Goddess" (44k views). He's booked international television commercials and print ads for Vanity Fair Napkins and Frontier Cable. Tunji's been featured in hilarious viral videos with actors like Melvin Gregg (Netflix Series, Vandal), Woody McClain (BET's Bobby Brown & New Edition Movie), and DeStorm Power (Emmy Nominated Actor, Youtube Personality) to name a few. For over a decade Tunji has hosted and performed stand up comedy on college stages and in well known clubs throughout the Northeast, and Los Angeles. He's opened up for stand up comedians James Davis (Comedy Central) and Sydney Castillo (HBO's All Def Comedy). Tunji's style of comedy is "Not telling jokes, but having a conversation with audience." As On-Air Talent Tunji was able to gain his foundation learning under legends at WKYS 93.9 in Washington DC. He took his radio experience and collaborated with DJ Damage (TV and Radio Personality) to create a fresh radio show on Dash Radio called "Almost Hollywood." Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla Sign, Logic, and and Kid Ink are some of the guest featured on the show. Tunji has interviewed many cultural icons such as Vashtie, Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Eric Benet, Derek Luke, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Sybrina Fulton (Trayvon Martin's Mother). Tunji's passion for the arts was ignited during his childhood while participating in musical theater and singing in the church choir. He has returned to his first love, music. Tunji has executive produced and written his debut EP "Year Of Manifestation". Tunji has a soulful voice mixed with hard punching lyrics. Tunji's mission is to spread positive experiences through out the world no matter the medium. Tunji believes his gifts can help change the world. Mixing hard work and having fun is his remedy for success that will create a legacy of excellence throughout the globe.
