Shannon Fisher

Shannon Fisher is the host of Our Lives with Shannon Fisher on the Authors on the Air Radio Global Network and a writer covering society and pop culture. She is also among a small team of hosts of the National Press Club's Update-1 podcast, which addresses issues in the media as they relate to current events. Her passion is the exploration of the human experience, and Shannon's social and political commentary delves deeply into issues that matter to Americans. She was honored as a "Woman Who Inspires" by Svaha USA, named among the "Richmonders of the Year" by Style Weekly Magazine (honored with colleagues for her activism in women's rights), and was named one of the 20 most influential people in women's rights in the country. Her work has been published in a wide variety of national, international, and regional publications. A lifelong student of society, entertainment, and government, Shannon is a graduate of both The College of William and Mary and the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at The University of Virginia and a proud member of the National Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists.
