Christian Cueva

Screenwriter and director with experience in fiction, documentary and Reality TV. He is co-founder of Giant Stories, a screenwriting studio specialized in the development of original IP's for cinema and OTT's. His debut feature, the documentary "Jirón" (2015), was presented at more than 15 national and international festivals, including the Sitges International Film Festival and the Mórbido Horror and Fantasy Film Festival, where it won best director of Latin American Film. He is also screenwriter and co-director of the short films "Voces" (2015) and "Bolas de fuego" (2016), featured in the anthology "México Bárbaro 2". He co-wrote the documentary "El son del chile frito" (Sony Music, 2019) and the short series "México 85: El día que la tierra se movió" (Promax Prize 2016). He is content director and head writer in the entrepreneurial shows "Shark Tank México" (seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, winner of a Produ Award) and "Shark Tank Colombia" (seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4) for Teleset and Sony Channel. He was also screenwriter for the reality show "Familias Frente al Fuego" (2019), for Endemol and Televisa. In 2020 he was content director and head writer of the show "La Culpa es de La Malinche", for Comedy Central. He is a graduate of the second generation of "El ABC del Showrunner", a program created by Lemon Studios. He is currently preparing a documentary series on corruption and developing fiction projects for premium platforms and networks, like NBC Universal. Also, he is co-writer of the horror feature film "La Exorcista", which is in production.
