Mathias Lundkvist was born in Aalborg, Denmark to parents Vibeke and Erik, a school teacher and locomotive driver. His acting ambitions began in third grade at a school musical, furthered tempered by his experiences as a judge/pizza delivery boy in the obligatory fifth grade school comedy. He proceeded to voluntary theatrical work, primarily as rebellious and youthful characters, from eight grade onwards. In tenth grade Mathias attended Femmøller Efterskole, a music-theatrical prep school, after which he initiated his tenure at an Aalborgensian high school. During the first two years, out of three, he attended Det Hem'lige Teater also located in Aalborg. In the summer of 2013 he starred in an amateur short film, Limbo, and in the same summer he auditioned for a Danish major pic set during the Second World War, 9. April, of which he acquired the role of Private Kolding. Mathias resides in Arden.
