Paul was born in Falkirk, Scotland. His Parent Drew & Beryl Lapsley were both born in the UK. Paul has one younger sister Johanna and two adopted brothers Ricky & Michael. He attended Falkirk high School where he got his first taste into acting as he enjoyed the drama classes and was always active at sports. Paul started training in Karate when he was seven years old. He began entering competitions at the age of twelve and won a number of medals in Kobe Osaka and National Championships. In 1993 Paul had a serious hand injury at work and in 1995 had a tumor removed from his abdomen. However he didn't let that get in his way and continued training and competing. His acting got more serious as he got an agent and started getting work from them. He joined the Scottish Theatre and Music School where he had the opportunity to do 3 plays at the Edinburgh fringe. Paul was also the face for Orange mobile when they did an advert for accessories and was in the Sunday Mail advert (The heart for Scotland). Paul also did extra work some movies Postmortem (1998 Charlie Sheen film), the Last Musketeer (2000 Robson Green TV film) and Young Adam (2003 Ewan McGregor film). 1999 Paul got a part in a Channel 4 documentary for Secret History - Execution on Camp 21 and got a some extra part for BBC Documentary Scotland history - Shot a dawn. He did some modeling for company adverts and posters. In 2003 Paul became a full time Martial Arts Instructor. In 2004 auctioned for a Martial Art film in England, got signed up by their company Zeon Enterprises. Paul concentrated on Teaching and competing. His acting fell behind. In 2006 Paul meet his future wife Tracy, In 2011 they Married and also Paul won the KOI World Championships, becoming a Karate World Champion. 2012 Paul was approached to do a promo mini trailer for a graphic novel called Accident Man to turn into a feature film. Paul put a fight scene together for it and did a number of acting scenes for them. 2013 got the lead role in The Runner, a mini movie trailer to promo two Glasgow film and TV companies. Paul helped with the fight coordinator for it and was the main actor. 2014 got a part in Trained to Kill as Sergeant Williams and working on stunts and fight scenes.
