Jasmine "Jazzy" King was born on 19 February 1990 in Bombay, India and her sister Natasha "Ruby" King was born on 7 May 1992 in Uzhgorod, Ukraine. They started to sing on the streets at an age of one or two at their fathers instigation. He later formed with his five oldest children the Christian band 'The King Family' and they toured through the world performing religious music as street musicians, in clubs, churches, schools, TV shows and prisons. In 1998 they were offered a $4 million record deal by Word Records/Warner Music Group (USA) which was refused by their father due to the young age of the children. When Jazzy and Ruby King turned 15 and 13, now living again in Germany, they left their family to stay on their own and to sing in a night club, after their oldest brother Michael had already quit from the band in 2003. The five siblings reunited 2006 and started outside of their fathers control the band 'King Family', supported by the German producer Dieter Falk. They soon got a record deal with EMI and published two singles and one album. They parted ways with EMI and renamed their band to KING. Their move from a camping ground in Köln to Los Angeles in June 2009 was accompanied by a film crew and was broadcast in the series Goodbye Deutschland! Die Auswanderer on the German TV channel VOX. End of 2013 KING released the music video "B.O.M.B.", in which Jazzy and Ruby King featured. In 2014, they made an appearance on The X Factor UK and had Louis Walsh as their mentor and made it through to the first Live Shows where they were the first act to leave the competition.
