Joshua William Parker is a rising star, collected medals, awards and held the spotlight in the competitive world of acting, performing in nine theatre productions, Movies, Commercials and Internet productions all at the age of 19! At an early age Joshua travelled the world. Travelling around Europe, South Africa, and Asia, Joshua grew a thirst for culture, which would soon influence his passion for the arts. The starting point of Joshua's career began when he was 12. In his final year at prep school, Joshua scored the main role of Horton, in Knox Grammar Prep School's production of "Horton Hears A Who". It was from here that Joshua caught the acting bug. Joshua continued through highshool in the same program that produced stars such as Hugo weaving and Hugh Jackman. In 2010 Joshua achieved a main role in Knox Academy of Performing Arts' "Anything Goes", and then again in 2011, when Joshua achieved the role of "Romeo" in Knox Academy of Performing Arts' "Romeo and Juliet". Over the course of the two years, Joshua was awarded four acting awards for his outstanding performances in main roles, including the "Silver Colour", Knox Academy of Performing Arts' highest award for acting. From his experience working on these productions, Joshua learnt how to take direction and the fundamentals of stage productions, but more importantly, he released the unique presence he could bring to the stage. If all these accomplishments weren't enough, at the age of 18 Joshua achieved the top of the state for his Higher School Certificate performance in drama for New South Wales, Australia and was sent to the Seymour Center in Sydney to showcase his talents, being told by John W Weeks "best performance Knox academy of performing arts has seen in over 11 years". Joshua's achievements in acting are equally matched by his success in music. In relatively short time, Joshua was awarded his Seventh Grade Certificate in Singing and Fourth Grade Certificate in Piano by the Australian Examination Board. Currently Joshua maintains his opportunities in singing, piano, and guitar by writing music and lyrics. Not only a musician and actor but Joshua is also a competitive sportsman, his passion and talent in tennis clearly shown in his awards and achievements in the sport. Joshua was training six days a week, competed in over 10 championships in Northern Suburbs Tennis Association, winning eight consecutive championships as well as Gold Medals in Open Tournaments stretching from Sydney to Queensland. After turning down a six-month scholarship to Spain, and a chance to tour the world in tennis, Joshua's motivation to explore the world of acting was only re-enforced. This unique combination of stylish good looks, gifted ability as an actor, unique talent as a musician, and the determination to be among the best in his field, has embarked Joshua William Parker as a young Australian with a big future!
