Josie Passantino

Josie Passantino, known as the radio sweetheart, also recipient of the Sparkle Award and the award for Most Indie Friendly Radio Show from the Independent Country Music Association, is a Radio Show Founder/Host, Segment Host, Live Event Host, Singer/Songwriter, and Licensed Radio Station Owner/General Manager. Josie started her career in radio at the age of 14 by creating her own radio show 'The Josie Show' in 2009. The five-time award nominated Josie Show is a highly respected show that airs weekly on Friday Nights at 7 pm Central timezone and features guest interviews and music. Josie has conducted over 700 interviews to date. In 2012 Josie Kicked off an additional show, which she calls the 'Josie Show Special Edition' which airs monthly and focuses on the long careers of a single artist each episode. Josie has had the honor of speaking to greats such as Aaron Tippin, Mickey Gilley, & the Late Legendary Country Music Hall of Fame Artist Ray Price to name a few. Josie is also a proud CMA (Country Music Association) Member. Josie was quickly recognized for her amazing personality and interviewing style, not only by listeners but, also by others in the radio business. Josie has hosted Josie's Hard Country & Season I & II of the 'Dream Quest Challenge.' The Josie Show has also gained syndications. Josie also had the honor of hosting an independent artist award ceremony event. Josie has always had an interest in music, as a child in school she participated in orchestra (playing the Cello), band (playing the tuba & baratone), chorus, and talent shows. Josie has always had the desire to step on the other side of the mic and in May of 2012 her dream came true when she recorded her Debut Single, perfectly titled Teenage Girl which speaks to following your dreams, regardless of your age, something Josie knows very well. Josie is especially proud of this song as it is the first song she had written after being taught the fine art of songwriting from an outstanding award winning songwriter. Josie worked under a label, but not two years later in true Josie style she is ready to set out on her own with her second single now in the works as an independent artist. Josie's debut single received airplay on internet, AM, & FM stations and spent over 30 weeks at #1 on a request station. Josie is excited to get back into the studio soon to record her second single which will be a modern/country song titled, 'Practice Boyfriend.' In keeping up with her own birthday tradition of adding something great to the Josie Network each birthday, for Josie's 19th birthday she added the Josie Show Concert Series. Josie has also been given the honor of being one of the featured women and participating authors in the book "Ari'el Rising." She is so proud to have been included in this project where she has written her story of what makes her 'roar'.
