Ilana Zackon is a trilingual Canadian actor, singer, writer and director. She is best known for her work as the female lead in Tuque Games' Livelock, as well the title role in the educational game for children, Mazaam - The Musical Genius. Ilana has performed on stages across Canada, as well as in Edinburgh and New York City. She was nominated for an Ovation Award in the Outstanding "Online Content" category, for her musical parody "I Just Can't Wait to Be Free". Born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Ilana began performing at the age of three. She made her stage debut at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts and was consistently involved in the local community theatre scene, throughout her childhood. A pension for creation and direction, Ilana would often be the ringleader in creating performances, with her siblings and cousins, to put on for their family and friends. She went on to train at John Abbott College's Professional Theatre Program in Montreal, as well as at the acclaimed HB Studio in New York City. Ilana is an experienced voice over actor with an extensive portfolio of video games and radio commercials. Her voice can be heard advertising many major brands, including Intact Insurance, Brault et Martineau and Videotron, among others. She has also worked with Ubisoft on Assassins Creed: Origins, as an actor and translator, as well as Far Cry: Primal, as a dialect coach. Upcoming video game projects include Disciples (Peak Media), in which she voices numerous characters. On stage, notable productions include So, How Should I Be? (Presentation House Theatre), The Array (Upintheair Theatre/Theatre Conspiracy), Under Milk Wood (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and the upcoming Same Difference (Theatre Conspiracy). Theatre directing credits include Speakeasy Theatre's Pull Fest VII (An Assertive Girl, Teddy Bears) and the Jessie Richardson Award nominated The Great Canadian Porno: The Musical. Film credits include Riverdale (CW Network), the upcoming season of Motherland: Fort Salem (Freeform), as well as various award-winning independent films, including DYS- directed by Maude Michaud (Quirk Films). She is the founder of social issue theatre company, Project X Performance. Ilana co-created, directed and performed in Part I (Montreal Off-Fringe Festival 2016), as well as directed and dramaturged in / cognito: a living art exhibit on mental health awareness (Studio Fleur D'Asphalte). Ilana is also a 260 hour certified yoga instructor, singer-songwriter and ukulele player. She is incredibly passionate about using storytelling as a platform to create awareness and empathy, worldwide. Since 2016, Ilana has been splitting her time between Vancouver and Montreal.
