Dtymi Ngozi Ibe grew up dreaming about Motion Pictures; how she would one day light up the screen with her radiant beauty and talent. The dream persisted, and soon enough dragged in other collateral elements it plucked from the vacuum and brighter recesses of her mind. It added to the big picture: Acting in films. For her, filmmaking came early...at the age of eighteen, to be exact. Not long after wallowing in that fluidscape vista, her dream came knocking; she would be invited to work on Madu Chikwendu's set as a script supervisor. Six other projects later, this Nollywood great, moved on to work with other pioneers of the African film industry. Men like Late Sam Loco Efe, Lancelot Imasuen, and Ernest Bhabor called her up. She was at the top of her game when she moved to the United States. Dtymi pursued a career in music, which happens to be another great passion of hers. She worked with Arty sky ( New York City) Gerry Johnson (Chicago) Joenez Jr and many more. However, other love interests in the realm of art reared up; she took each one on a joyous trip...crafting and nurturing them into palpable singularities she would eventually own. In recent years, she has stared in such movies as: FRAME UP; NAUGHTY JEFF; BORN WICKED, BLIND FOLDED; TILL DEATH DO WE PART; RIVERS OF LOVE; THE MASTERMIND and THE OTHERE SIDE. In her recent movie, she would step up her game...delving into the writing of screenplays, Producing of artsy films, even Staring in these behemoths, as a way of salvaging the surge of creativity that wracked her. All this time, she was quietly propagating other aspects of her craft, while eyeing the Director's chair. In her first outing as a bona fide filmmaker, she went solo...writing and directing the blockbuster, "ANOTHER LEAF."
