Bio Shannon Hutchinson grew up in a tiny Pennsylvania pretzel town (Hanover) performing in community theatre plays and finding joy making people laugh. After a childhood filled with funny skits, films with friends, and frequent visits to Hersheypark, Shannon was accepted into the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts which gave her the opportunity to work with Tony Award Teacher of the Year nominee Donald Hicken, to perform overseas, and (finally!) to be taken very seriously. The commute from Hanover to downtown Baltimore took ninety minutes on a good day, but that gave Shannon plenty of time each day to ask her herself-and hundreds of wary fellow commuters and public transportation workers over the years-why in the world she wanted to work in show business anyway and had they seen Disney's Treasure Planet because frankly, it's criminally underrated. During high school, Shannon landed her first lead role in a film playing Sarah, astronaut kid with a heart of gold in the amazingly named sci-fi adventure, Assassinaut (2019). Soon after, she played Gloria in Wait Until Dark at Baltimore's premiere regional theater, Everyman Theatre. Soon, she stars in Electric Jesus (2020; Judd Nelson, Brian Baumgartner) as another Sarah-this one is a runaway Gospel singer in the Deep South, Summer of 1986. As she continues to pursue screen acting, Shannon is studying computer science at the University of South Carolina and has worked as a production assistant on Mr. Mercedes (2019; Brendan Gleason) and The Georgetown Project (2020; Russell Crowe). Enough about Shannon... Have you seen Disney's Treasure Planet?
