Morne is the founder of Incense Films and Davinci International Film Academy where his passion for all things film making is evident. Incense films was started by Morne in 2008 and was focused on small productions while he learn the ropes of the industry. He worked his way up the ranks by being a camera man on his first feature film "Play it as it Lies" and then produced his first film "Hartsbegeertes" in 2012. Since then he has produced 10 feature films, Directed 2 Feature films and many short films. Over this period Morne also mastered the art of writing scripts when he wrote two films, Rowwe Diamante & Kampterrein. In 2016 he founded Davinci Film Academy which focuses on teaching high school students how to become film makers. Morne, driven by his passion furthered his knowledge by achieving lectureship from Black Magic Design in Paris. He is one of only four lecturers in Africa who is qualified to teach Davinci Resolve 15 & 16, a leading video editing suite and has received accreditation for Davinci Film Academy at Black Magic Design's training center in France. During the early days of lock-down due to Covid-19, Morne and Mandy Rootman joined forces and started a Broadcast/News Media house called "The Vuvuzela". This feel good online channel has covered over a 150 interviews with small community businesses and community projects, providing much needed exposure over this difficult time. Morne's years of experience makes him the perfect person to take Ballito TV into the future together with a dynamic, motivated team, all of whom are focused on changing the face of new age TV by bringing all things North Coast to the world.
