Omar Hamdi is a Welsh-Egyptian TV presenter, comedian and writer. He grew up in Cardiff, something he discusses regularly in his work. He began performing stand-up in the UK, after graduating from Leeds University, in 2012, before quickly moving into TV and radio work. He is known for presenting on the BAFTA-winning BBC One show X-Ray, as well as writing and presenting on the award-winning BBC Radio 2 show Pause For Thought. He has written for publications as varied as The Independent and The Daily Express, and has been published in two books: "Don't Panic, I'm Islamic" and "Pause for Thought".
