Clarissa Appelt

Clarissa Appelt is Brazilian director-screenwriter, her first feature "A Casa de Cecília" premiered at Mostra Tiradentes and later released on Canal Brasil and in theaters independently, listing Clarissa as the revelation voice of the new horror scene. In 2020, Clarissa graduated with a Fulbright scholarship at the MFA in Screenwriting at USC, where she wrote the horror short film "Unidentified", screened at ScreamFest 2019. She is the founder and instructor of the screenwriting program for underrepresented voices, Fulbright New Voices, and also worked on series development rooms at Urca Filmes and Chatrone.
