Angelique Montalvo

Actress/model Angelique Montalvo was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Young Angelique would go on to do runway and print modeling at a young age. A successful model and an excellent student with an aptitude for learning and the arts, Angelique moved to Miami to study fashion at Miami International University of Art and Design and soon became interested in joining the entertainment industry. Angelique was asked to do a scene for a Hispanic soap opera taping in Miami. It was while taping this scene that Angelique realized acting was her calling and soon enrolled in acting and television hosting classes at such schools as Instituto Zavaleta, Adriana Barraza Acting Studio, Sebastian Ligarde Acting School and En Tu Escenario, while completing work on her college degree. While in college, she soon appeared in a number of telenovelas such as "Corazon Valiente" (Courageous Heart"), "Una Maid en Manhattan" ("A Maid in Manhattan"), "El Rostro de la Venganza" ("The Face of Vengeance") and "Pasion Prohibida" ("Forbidden Passion"), all for Latin American television, as well as "El Talisman" ("The Talisman") for Venevision. She also appeared in the acclaimed play "Delitos Ausentes" ("Absence of Crime") playing the titular role of Mercedes. Upon graduation, Angelique was cast in the new telenovela "Reina de Corazones" ("Queen of Hearts") which began airing in Latin America in 2014. She soon followed up that up with another role in the upcoming Venevision television series "Demente Criminal," ("Criminally Insane"). Today, Angelique remains busy as a model and a performer on a number of television and film projects now in various stages of production.
