Dayrin Ninette Martínez was born in Tarzana, California to Ninette Ríos, a popular Univision Network entertainment reporter, and Rogelio Martínez, a multi-platinum selling Mexican Regional singer-songwriter. Raised in the Santa Clarita Valley, she developed her passion for acting at the early age of 7. Her talent and enthusiasm has led to several main roles in short films and student films in the genres of drama, comedy, and horror. The Family (AMC), Short Breads (Girl Scout films), The Game, Something about Lucy, The Last Ride, Prom Queen, and Dead Until Night to name a few. Plus credits in TV commercials, and play appearances. This young promising actress, made her television debut as "Arzu" in the TV series "Alien Encounters" on the Science Channel. In 2015, Dayrin co-starred with Jenna Ortega as young "Lina" in the highly successful CW Network's American romantic comedy-drama series "Jane The Virgin". The two played flashback versions of the childhood best friends, "Jane" (Gina Rodriguez) and "Lina" (Diane Guerrero). According to Dayrin Martinez, who was interviewed by the Latin Times about the series, "I feel very fortunate for this opportunity. To work with personalities like Gina Rodriguez and Diane Guerrero motivates me to continue growing when I see that with dedication and love for my profession, I can fulfill my dreams". Dayrin is a charismatic, outgoing individual who cares deeply about others and the film industry. She is a dedicated worker who aims to accomplish tremendous growth in her craft. In her spare time, the ambitious actress enjoys enhancing her artistic abilities such as playing the guitar, ballet, screenwriting, producing, and reading. Aside from her work in the entertainment industry, she volunteers and advocates for social, environmental, and cultural organizations.
