Trained in both Meisner and Method, AJ Trada has performed in film and on stage. Recently, he played Joe in Waiting For Lefty at the Sanford Meisner Center. Other recent roles include Rubin in The Dark At The Top Of The Stairs. AJ has trained with some of the best in the industry. He was accepted into the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Less than a year afterwards, he was training at The Actors Studio where he learned from masters in the field such as Martin Landau, Mark Rydell, and Salome Jens. In order to further perfect his craft, AJ started the 2 year program at the Sanford Meisner Center in order to achieve that "connection" with his partner that is so critical to an actor's depth and truth. At the Meisner Center, AJ learned from master teacher Martin Barber and expert teacher Ranjiv Perera. AJ has improvisation training from Groundlings. In film, AJ has recently played as a hit man, a military mercenary, a gay drug dealer, and an office worker. On stage he recently performed as a prison inmate and a Mexican bandit. As a bilingual speaker in English and Spanish, AJ is looking forward to including Spanish speaking roles in his future credits. In addition, AJ is an accomplished athlete with extensive football, baseball, tennis, and weight lifting experience. AJ is looking forward to working on a TV series where he can leverage his skills to bring the character to life!!!
