Christopher Baiza is a Mexican-Guatemalan, American born in Long Beach, California. His mother is from Michoacán, México and raised in Tijuana, México. His father born in Guatemala City, was later raised in Mexicali, City in México. He later grew up in Lynwood, Huntington Park, South Gate, and East Los Angeles becoming affiliated with gangs and gang violence. He encountered violence, personal loss with close friends due to gang violence. Later, he began writing, and recording music as a way to express himself artistically and steered away from the streets. After not graduating from high school, he later earned his H.S. diploma, and eventually enrolled into a junior college discovering theatre which turned into his personal enlightenment. In 2011, Chris dropped out of college to focus on writing, directing and acting. He was accepted to the world famous William Alderson Acting Studio in Los Angeles, California where many great performers studied under Mr. Alderson such as Luis Guzman, Allison Janney, Jon Voigt, Jeff Goldblum and many others studying the Meisner Technique and continue to be involved in the studio today. In 2019, Christopher has won multiple awards including "Best Breakout Feature Film" at the Hollywood Reel Film Festival for his first feature film "MYRA". Next year (2020), he will be in post-production completing his latest two short films, "Water Dawg" and "Xmas". Christopher's next film is titled "3Flowers" about the Zoot Suit riots following a Mexican-American family through three generations. Today, he focuses his talents toward writing, directing and editing original content. He resides in Los Angeles, California where he has dedicated his life to the development of acting through his writing and a new take on story telling.
