Adam Assad

Adam was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, and raised by a single mother in Orlando. He earned a BA in history and political science from the University of Central Florida and a MA in history from Villanova University outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Interested in film at an early age, he used his very first paycheck from a job at McDonald's to buy a camcorder to film short movies with friends. An avid traveler, he has set foot on six continents and gathered stories and experiences along the way. Reared in the punk and hardcore scene on the East Coast he discovered veganism in high school and has been vegan for 18 years. He has worked in music and film as a tour/stage manager and production designer/art director respectively. He has written, directed, and produced several comedic shorts and produced one feature film. The grandson of a union Pennsylvania steelworker, stories on life and the human condition of the working class are his interest and his unique background is suited for story-telling.
