Rachel Theriot is an actress and performer in New Orleans, LA best known for her work with Hedges Pictures. With two decades of experience in theatre and film, Theriot boasts a diverse resume and unique skill set, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Performance from Louisiana State University. In her youth, she was a founding member of the children's theatre Youth Ensemble with Playmakers of Baton Rouge. Her prowess in performance and devising theatre led to her role as President of the St. Joseph's Academy drama club and later President of the Undergraduate Theatre Alliance at LSU. She along with several of her peers traveled to the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they performed M: Purged. Ritualistic., their own devised work of physical theatre and music. In Baton Rouge, Theriot collaborated with Travis Williams of Hedges Pictures on several films and a mini-series. Her most recent interest is in comedy; as a graduate of The New Movement Theatre's improv conservatory, she now performs regularly around New Orleans with improv troupe CHOMP! and serves as a writer and performer for sketch group Friendo.
