Roland D (no period) Bough III (born September 30, 1979) is an American actor, writer, producer, and composer known for Scouts Honor: Inside a Marching Brotherhood (2014), Pas De Deux (2015) and The Things We See (2012). While growing up in the Atlanta area, he heard music in my home day and night, from the Wurlitzer and Yamaha Baby Grand Piano that held prominent placement in the band rehearsal setup that occupied his living room, where traditional furniture usually resided. Roland's stepfather Rudy Cooper was a working-class musician, and bandleader, working local clubs and bars and in large venues as backing band leader for national acts when they would come through the towns he lived. This rich musical acculturation is responsible for him developing into the artist he is today. Best known recently for his work with developing musicianship in young children. Roland provides workshops for parents, educators, and caregivers to equip them with the tools and skills to help them tap the full musical potential in the children for whom they care. Roland studied Music Education and Electronic Music Production and Design at Berklee College of Music. He is also the producer of a children's musical learning program and web series.
