Alyssa McGuigan is a graduate from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Performance with Minors in Musical Theatre and Drama Therapy. She recently completed a contract with Disney Cruise Line as one of their main stage performers in their Broadway style shows. She began her theatre career with the Hudson Music Club, performing in shows such as the rose seller in Oliver (2004), Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly (2005), Ursula Merkle in Bye Bye Birdie (2006) and as Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes (2008). Producers of the Canadian TV production of How do you Solve a Problem Like Maria (2008) broke their own minimum age requirement so that they could select her to be the youngest of fifty from a field of thousands vying for the role of "Maria" in the Andrew Lloyd Webber/David Mirvish production of the Sound of Music (2008). You may also have seen her in Marty Thomas' DIVA Contest at Industry Bar in NYC and she was recently the winner of Bartini's Battle of the Belting B*tches contest. Alyssa was also one of the anthem singers for one of the Canadian Football League's (CFL) team, The Montreal Alouettes. Recent credits include Vivienne Kensington in Legally Blonde and Rosa and the understudy for Rebecca in a production of Rags (2012), directed by Barbara Siman-Strouse, at Marymount Manhattan College. She was recently the Lead Contemporary Singer for Holland America Cruise Line's the ms Prinsendam. Furthermore, she was in The Ziegfield Society's production of From Opera to Broadway (starring JoAnn Yeoman). Finally, she was the female swing and understudy of Mrs. Yawns and Gypsy in A2K Production's Quiet Clock, the Musical!
