Born in 1995 in Berlin, Timur Bartels is a German actor. He has appeared in a variety of films and TV productions since 2014, including "Mein Sohn Helen", "Der mit dem Schlag", and "The Red Band Society" (Club der roten Bänder). This latter VOX series, in which he plays one of the leading roles, has been his most significant success to date. With him, it received the German Television Award, the Grimme Award, and the Jupiter Award, among others. As an actor he already won the "German Actors Award" (Deutscher Schauspielerpreis) and the New Faces Award in 2016. Following his high-school graduation, Bartels trained as an actor in Los Angeles and London. In 2015, he produced his first short film, "20x", writing the screenplay, directing, and appearing in the lead role all himself. The film was nominated for best film in the 2016 Palm Beach International Film Festival in Florida.
