Rita Kotey

Rita Kotey came to KXII-TV as a reporter in October 2008. Since then she has joined the News12 AM team with Jesse Schroeder and Tom Miller. She says waking up bright and early every morning to bring the news that matters to you is a true joy! Rita comes to Texoma from Huntsville, Ala. She spent her collegiate years at Tennessee State University in Nashville. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Speech Communications and Theatre. Rita is no stranger to news operations across the country. She has worked and interned for WSMV in Nashville, Tenn., WEIU-TV in Charleston, Ill., and WAFF48 News in Huntsville, Ala. Rita is a true lover of the stage! Watching and performing musicals and plays is one of her favorite pastimes. She also enjoys music, spoken word, and spending time at church. Rita is thrilled to be in Texoma and can't wait to hear your story ideas!
