Italo Medelius

Italo Medelius-Marsano was born in Lima, Peru to Marianella Marsano-Chumbez, an administrative assistant, and Oscar Medelius-Rodriguez, a Peruvian attorney and congressman. The youngest of 3 children, Medelius was educated in a private bilingual school where he learned to speak English and Spanish fluently and simultaneously. He spent his final year in Lima in a Catholic school, El Imaculado Corazon. Due to political turmoil, Medelius' father was forced to leave the country and the entire family followed on December 23rd, 2003 when they relocated to Hampstead, North Carolina. Medelius attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville and completed 2 Bachelor's degrees in 3 years in Drama and Business Management. In 2014, Medelius temporarily studied acting and dance at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He is currently based out of Asheville, NC and primarily works on stage and screen in Western North Carolina, Upstate South Carolina, and Atlanta.
