Featured in Vogue and Forbes Magazine, Mahlon won Best Score at the Los Angeles Film Awards 2019, for Sacrifice. He composed the score for the film Not(e) for a Dreamer, nominated for best score at the LA Fashion Festival. In collaboration with Henry Cheng, Mahlon composed the music for the Running Learning Center in Seoul, South Korea commemorating Olympic Gold Medalist Sohn Kee Chung. He completed a Master's in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music and a Bachelor of Science in Composition and Philosophy with a piano concentration at the Jacobs School of Music. Mahlon lives and works in Los Angeles on the music team for RuPaul's Drag Race and Million Dollar Listing, and his music will be featured on an upcoming TV series on ABC/Disney. Mahlon also composes for the concert stage, including operas, symphonic works, and ballets. His music is often performed by Warner artist and BBC Young Musician of the year Martin James Bartlett. Mahlon composed the main theme for the Klangkraft Orchestra in Berlin. Mahlon's orchestrations have been performed at Carnegie Hall by the UN Chamber Music Society of The United Nations. He worked as a scoring assistant on Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, interned for Bear McCreary and assisted John Mauceri and Darius Holbert. Mahlon studied composition with Sven-David Sandström, Howard Davidson, Don Freund, Claude Baker - piano with Oxana Yablonskaya, Luba Dubinsky. Mahlon orchestrated music by Eren Önsoy for the award winning documentary Naziha's Spring. A participant in the 2013 NYU/ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop, Mahlon was a Dean's Award Scholar at Indiana University and New York Art Ensemble Emerging Composer in 2011. In 2016 he composed and produced a cutting edge opera - Puck, with his dear friend Benjamien Lycke that was premiered at the Royal College of Music.
