Carter Raff

Carter Raff was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a youth he attended numerous acting schools and performed in local theater. His love for acting resurfaced in college and after college he began his professional acting career in San Francisco.He was cast in a few commercials but seized an opportunity to start production work and founded Smoke Productions, in homage to his love of cigars. After being cast in a few feature films and being able to join SAG and AFTRA, he relocated to Hollywood. In Hollywood he continued to work on feature films as an actor, but also wrote, directed and acted in independent feature films by his company as well as others. While there, he attended the Los Angeles branch of the Actors Studio and trained with Jeff Corey, known for working with actors like Jack Nicholson. Carter returned to San Francisco after 7 years in Hollywood to pursue other interests, but continues to write books and screenplays.
