Eric Nikolaus Kwasnjuk is a Philly native of South African and Ukranian descent. He began acting on the New York City stage. Appearing in over 20 plays. Some of his early mentors were Victor Garber at Herbert Berghof Studios & Director/Playwright Shauneille Perry Ryder at Herbert Lehman College & The New Federal Theater. Memorable roles include the King in the "King and I" , Othello, Andrei in "The Three Sisters" and the U.S premiere of Russian playwright Vladimir Mayakovsky's "The Bedbug" receiving great reviews in the lead role of Ivan Prisypkin. He helped form the Grown Up's Playground Improvisation Troupe at the New York City Comedy Club and then began performing stand-up comedy in comedy clubs across the United States. Working alongside comics such as Jim Gaffigan, Zach Galifianakis, Dave Chappelle. Eric honed his writing and production skills as an assistant at ABC-TV on "Regis and Kathie Lee" and Good Morning America. He interned at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, under the guidance of Film Director-Frank LaLoggia- "Lady in White." In 2014 he moved to Cape Town , South Africa to attend Afda Film School receiving a Bachelors of Honors in Motion Picture Medium. While living in Cape Town he wrote and directed two award winning documentaries. "The Cape of Good Humor" and "The Cape of Lost Lullabies" as well as a sitcom pilot for TV, "Who U Kiddin?" His film career as an actor blossomed in South Africa in notable award winning films such as "Happy Earth Co" "The Doll Shop", Winning Best Actor at various festivals. Appearing in the Syfy series "Dominion". Returning to the states he studied Meisner for three years at Playhouse West. His role as Alva in the feature film "Neon Fangs" will be released in 2021. in 2019 he relocated to Los Angeles. Coaching with Shari Shaw, Barry Papick, Lisa London etc. Performing comedy at the Improv on Melrose and the Comedy Store and as an actor/writer at the Station House Theater Company under Gareth Williams. Fun fact- Eric is the only contestant in it's 49 year history to appear onstage and win the showcase two separate times on "The Price is Right" game show. in 2000 and 2020 respectively.
