Elisa Lipton's gypsy feet have led her from California to Asia, Hawaii, and back to the West Coast again. When she's not busy preparing for an audition or practicing yoga, she's writing, strumming and singing along to Joni Mitchell tunes, roaming the farmer's market, strolling the beach, or daydreaming about her next trip abroad. Elisa Lipton grew up on the wide beaches of Oxnard Shores, California, before studying at UC San Diego, then finding work as a model in Santa Monica. It was during her early years in Los Angeles that she discovered Yoga. She brought her home practice along during a soul-searching year abroad in Asia, teaching English as a Second Language to preschoolers. Her daily yoga practice helped her relax and feel grounded during her travels, and working with preschoolers unleashed her inner performer and songstress! She even learned to play ukulele. "Elisa Teacher, yoga please" and performing skits with the kids set to James Taylor songs, was the name of the game in her classroom. At the suggestion of a friend, Elisa signed up for yoga teacher training in Asia and wound up teaching ex-pats up until the night before her flight home. Her experience with yoga and performance, plus her discovery of Asian medicine and the medicinal properties of Asian food had a huge impact on the health of Elisa's mind, body, and soul. Since Elisa's return, her path has led her back to the entertainment industry in California and Hawaii, with yoga and East Asian medicine in her toolbelt (or as she calls them, "secret powers"). For Elisa, living life to the fullest means living from a place of trust instead of fear. She believes it's vital that we realize every day, every moment, every action we take does count, so why not go for your dreams?
