Sierra-Skye's unique story is derived from her diverse tribal background. Her mother is of Mohawk ancestry who was raised Jewish and her father was a Traditional Ojibwe Elder. Sierra-Skye was born on October 5, 1993 in Oshawa, Ontario Canada as part of a blended family and was raised up to appreciate her three cultures. She spent 12 years in Hebrew School. For her high school years, she attended the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto where she graduated with a diploma in General Studies as well as a diploma in Hebrew Studies. She also received two scholastic achievement awards from the Educational Department of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation Band. Sierra-Skye took a sabbatical year after her first year of university to try modelling. She was scouted by Miss Canada Globe Productions in May of 2014 and entered the competition. By the end of the competition, Sierra-Skye was crowned the Regional Title of Miss Toronto Petite (Petite given to girls who are under 5'5" tall). She had also taken the crown and Title of Miss Ambassador Petite, and shortly afterwards, the CEO of Miss Canada would ask her to accept the crown and the National Title for the Miss Canada Petite 2014-15 4th Princess. In November of 2014, Sierra-Skye was offered the lead role in her first short film. It required several lines of Mohawk to carry the story successfully. The film did well in the Film Festival Circuit and was also chosen as the Official selection of the Visionaria Film Festival in Italy. Acting really interested Sierra-Skye and she later would be told by the director that she was a natural. From there, she took on many different types of modelling jobs including some extra work in a music video but she loved to act. She hopes to take on more creative roles and stretch her imagination. She especially would like to consider roles where she can connect with her heritage.
