Michael Ian Sugrue was always a natural actor and performer. Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, the world was a stage to him. He started off in numerous school plays and musicals as a child. But it was his love of classic monster movies and Halloween that influenced his art the most. In his early adult life, he created and ran his own haunted house, and then moved on to join Tombstone Production's "McCray's Haunted Hayride" in which he played many characters of his own creation, including Death, Father Grimm, Dreadwolf, and the Grimm Jester. He also guest starred as Death on several local radio shows. He took a break from acting when he moved up to northern Vermont several years ago, where he began working on a fantasy book trilogy, the first of which he published in 2014. He then happened upon a local film group and, being impressed with much of their previous work, auditioned. He has landed several roles in their upcoming films, and his imaginative characterizations and powerful, deep speaking voice have commanded much interest and he continues to pursue numerous endeavors. In addition to acting, Michael is also a novelist, poet, artist, inventor, and entrepreneur.
