A native of Rohwer, Arkansas, the site of one of ten War Relocation Authority Japanese American incarceration camps during World War II, Vivienne Schiffer is a filmmaker and author in Houston, Texas and Oakwood, Texas. She is daughter of Rosalie Santine Gould, the former mayor of McGehee, Arkansas, and a renowned champion of the preservation of the history, sites and art of the incarceration experience. Vivienne was previously a senior corporate partner with the international law firm of Thompson & Knight, LLP. She is married to Paul Schiffer, a criminal defense attorney in Houston. They have four children.
