Glen Daniel Perkins, born in Sewanee, TN, is an actor/musician who has been building an extensive resume in the music business for the past 15 years. As a teenager he played guitar for R&B/Pop super-group Blackstreet after landing an internship with Teddy Riley at Riley's Virginia Beach compound, Future Recording Studios - the same studio where The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo), Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins and a few other notables made their entrance into the music industry. Learning from being in the studio with Riley, Perkins began writing and producing his own records while building lasting relationships in the industry. Today, based in Virginia Beach, VA, Perkins is one of the most sought after record producers and songwriters in the 757 (Southeastern Virginia) with a waiting list of clientele who book 6 to 9 months out due to such overwhelming demand. Part of the reason for this demand is the fact that he also sings his own material and very well at that. Combined with his experience and skill level in vocal production as well as his vocal talent and ability to produce his own records from ground up, he has been able to consistently turn any burgeoning local songwriter's lyrics into market-competitive radio-ready recordings. After studying Meisner Technique in 2014 with Virginia-based acting coach, Keith Flippen, Perkins has begun to take on roles in film, tv and stage in order to develop his skill and experience as an actor.
