Dominique Smith was born in London, Ontario and has lived in St.Lucia, Calgary Alberta, Edmonton Alberta, and Toronto Ontario. It wasn't until High-school that she began learning how to pursue acting as a profession. In High-school, Dominique took an advanced drama program at Victoria School of the Arts. She attended both the three week and six week advanced acting program at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. While in LA Dominique also had the opportunity to act in various short films on the back lot of Universal Studios. Later, she attended York University for the Theatre Acting Program and Graduated with Honours with Distinction from the Toronto Film School in Acting for Film and Television Program. She went on to win "Best Actress" at the Canadian Diversity Film Festival, "Best Female Performance" at the Toronto Film School Festival of Films, and Best LGBT Short at the Hollywood International Motion Pictures Film Festival for the short film she Produced, Directed, Wrote and was the lead actress in "Still Me". She was cast as the lead in the play "Book of Days" taking on the character Ruth. Later she did a play run for her work as the female lead in "Step by Step". Dominique had the chance to attend several acting and Improv Workshops in New York City. She is doing a festival run for the feature film she plays the supporting character "Heather" and Associate Produced "Beyond Hell". The film has already won Best Feature Film and Best Visual Effects at Shock Stock Film Festival. Dominique's skills sets include dance, horseback riding, rock climbing, swimming and a fun skill is she can solve a Rubik's cube in under a minute and a half.
