Vonzell Scott is an actor, known for Public Housing Unit (2017), Chicago Med (2017) and Chicago Fire (2015). Born and raised in Roseland on the South Side of Chicago. He was raised by his Mother Deborah Taylor and his father J Vonzell Scott. Vonzell attended Brother Rice High School and graduated to study Communications at Northern Illinois University. While attending Northern Illinois University, his interest for pursuing acting was developing internally so he came back home, started working and got into an acting class at the Acting Studio Chicago. He received his first major role playing Keith in the TV show Chicago Fire. From there he has appeared in various short films, a United States Navy industrial, a theatre production named 'The Road Ahead,' and recently appeared on the hit Showtime show The Chi. Off the screen, Vonzell enjoys going to a local elementary school and reading to kids under the Real Men Read program. His passion for being a role model and serviceman is something he deeply cares about. Always remembering where you come from and how you can help the next generation by being an example drives Vonzell to succeed.
