Born to a Yugoslavian mother, Tara Emad is an Egyptian actress whose charming Eastern- European features have distinguished as a young model, becoming one of the most sought after faces in commercials and fashion shows in Egypt and France. She made her earliest foray into acting in the TV series Al Jamai'a (2011) where she played the role of Sherifa alongside a pan-Arab cast of young Arab actors. Three years later, she made her major break starring alongside the phenomenal Adel Emam in his TV series Saheb El Saada (2014), which she considers as one of her most remarkable works to date and one that won her wide acclaim and propelled her name to the attention of directors and producers at the beginning of her career. During the following two years, Tara took part in important roles in several TV series, including Dawa'er Hob, Bein El Sarayat, and Sabaa Banat, and films like Tofahet Hawa and El-Haram el-Rabe by director Peter Mimi. Then, she starred alongside Mohamed Adel Emam in the TV series Lamei Al Qott that premiered in Ramadan 2017. Tara doesn't settle for roles that don't show much of her acting skills; thus, she is very painstakingly selective when it to comes to her roles. In 2018, she decided to give more attention to cinema, so she took part in Marawan Hamed's Torab El Mas (Diamond Dust) that garnered 30 millions EGPs and came in second place at the Egyptian box office during the season of Eid Al Adha (2017). Also, she took part in El Kowayseen by Ahmed El Guindi that gained more than 20 million EGP. She collaborated once more with Marwan Hamed in The Blue Elephant: Dark Whispers, one of the highest-grossing Egyptian films in the history of Egyptian cinema that generated over 102 million EGPs. In that role, she performed a complex range of body movements that is far different from her previous roles of portraying an ideal girl. Following that, she took part in the thriller film 122 by Yasir Al-Yasiri, and recently she stars alongside Ahmed Ezz as Jasmine in the musical comedy play Aladdin. In Ramadan (2020) she co-starred with Yasmine Abdel Aziz in the TV series W Neheb Tani Leih. Tara graced the cover page of a plethora of high-end magazines, including Vogue Arabia, Emirates Woman, EniGma, Sayidaty and Jamalouki. In 2010, she entered the Miss Global Teen pageant in Brasil, becoming the first runner-up and was given the Queen of Africa title. Her most recent roles include the serial drama Tahqeeq (Investigation), a WATCH iT original, and Mohamed Ramadan's Mousa that is slated to premiere in Ramadan 2021.
